Undertaking domestic water system L8 legionella risk assessments of new and existing installations.
Providing expert personnel to witness and validate commissioned systems to provide assurance to the clients that the building services have been tested and commissioned in accordance with the specification and relevant industry standards.
The traditional Pre-commission chemical cleaning methods utilise up to 30 system volumes of water and although water is a sustainable resource the energy required to re-cycle and treat at the sewage treatment plants may not be.
Using chemicals with the initial fill water for hydraulic pressure testing and employing filtration methods can drastically reduce the amount of water required by at least two thirds to achieve BSRIA Standards in HVAC mechanical water systems.
Good installation practises by the installer, as outlined in BSRIA BG29 2020, are required to allow this approach and at Smoothflow we will offer this sustainable option in preference to traditional methods where it is appropriate to do so.
